Bobby Caldwell

Robert Hunter Caldwell was an American singer, songwriter, and musician.

He released several albums spanning R&B, soul, jazz, and adult contemporary.

Bobby Caldwell, the man behind the 1978 platinum hit "What You Won't Do For Love," has died at age 71.

The singer/songwriter hadn't been able to walk for about 5 years as he coped with painful bouts of neuropathy.

Stories abound, many of them shared on social media after his death, of listeners being surprised to learn that Caldwell was white and not Black.
